Taking action

Youngsters from Eco-Schools UAE joined hands with students from around the world in taking action for a more sustainable world on November 7 as part of the World Day of Action. This day, initiated by Eco-Schools International, asks students globally to take action for a more sustainable world.

Here in the UAE, students raised awareness on recycling, organised clean up campaigns, and planted native trees in their school grounds.

On December 2nd, we wished the UAE a very happy 41st birthday! To mark the occasion of National Day this month, we’re sharing an inspiring quote from the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan:

“We cherish our environment because it is an integral part of our country, our history and our heritage. On land and in the sea, our forefathers lived and survived in this environment. They were able to do so only because they recognised the need to conserve it, to take from it only what they needed to live, and to preserve it for succeeding generations.”
